Victor Brave Sword 1800 D
VICTOR Brave Sword 1800 D - A sword for all occasions
We also subjected the VICTOR Brave Sword 1800 D to an extensive long-term test. The 88 g racquet (U4/G5) was strung with the Victor string VBS 63 at 10 kg.
Our rating was again in the categories "power", "handling", "feel/ball control" and "forgives inaccurate hitting", all on a scale from 1 star (hardly applies) to 5 stars (fully applies).
First impression: The grip-heavy balance combined with the medium shaft makes the relatively heavy but aerodynamic Brave Sword 1800 D play with surprising ease. The special diamond-shaped Brave Sword racket head shape (diamond-shaped) noticeably reduces air resistance and thus supports the fast movements. The relatively high mass conveys a good stroke control.
Most of the testers of the BADLAB "Test Team" agreed: The strengths of the Brave Sword 1800 lie in its good handling characteristics. When you have to react quickly at the net or when defending, it shows its best side. When it comes to "drive", it conveys the best feel with secure control. That's why our testers gave it a strong 4 stars in both categories.
In the category "forgives inaccurate hitting", the Brave Sword 1800 achieves a good average of 3.5 stars.
As always, slightly grip-heavy racquets have the disadvantage with the convertibility of strong power. Here, the opinions of the testers were inconsistent, which is certainly also due to the respective hitting technique and preferred playing style. Nevertheless, the Brave Sword 1800 achieves an above-average rating of 3.75 stars in this discipline.
Rating overview: Brave Sword 1800 D | |
Power | 3,75 |
Forgives inaccurate hitting | 3,5 |
Impact feeling / ball control | 4 |
Handling Defense / Net | 4 |
Total evaluation | 3,8 |
Overall verdict of the BADLAB racket team: For a racket under € 100, the Brave Sword 1800 D offers a perfect feel and leaves nothing to be desired in terms of handling. If you have a reasonably decent hitting technique, you will be rewarded with enough power. We therefore recommend this solid all-round racquet to all ambitious hobby and recreational players - with a stringing hardness of 10 kg.
Tip: If you want to get this brand-new update of the Victor Brave Sword 1800 D from the exclusive Victor Asia Special Edition 2023, you should strike here, as it is not included in the normal delivery programme of Victor Germany. An absolute benefit is that the Brave Sword 1800 D is not delivered with the usual factory stringing, but is professionally "freshly" strung with a new Victor competition string in Germany....more is not possible!
